Jose Garay is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in propulsion and fluid systems. Currently serving as a Responsible Engineer for Fluids & Propulsion in Advanced Development Programs at Blue Origin since August 2022, Garay focuses on developing Propellant Mission Kits and refueling architecture. Previously, Garay held the position of Senior Project/Product Engineer at Aerojet Rocketdyne from December 2017 to July 2022, contributing to the development of components for the AR1 Booster Engine and facilitating the full development lifecycle of various engine components. Additional experience includes roles at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Wesco Aircraft, and Matador Motorsports, covering a range of responsibilities from propulsion system design to engineering program management. Garay holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from California State University, Northridge.
