Mark Darden

Mark Darden is a Principal Turbomachinery Design and Development Engineer at Blue Origin, specializing in turbomachinery rotordynamics. With over three decades of experience, Darden previously served as a Rotordynamics Specialist and Deputy Chief Engineer for the Space Shuttle Main Engine at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. Darden holds a PhD and multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama and Auburn University. Notably, Darden has developed stability and response prediction tools and holds a U.S. patent for a novel swirl brake.
