Matthew Piatt

Matthew Piatt is a Director of Software Development, Testing & Deployment at Blue Origin, where leadership of the Integrated Ground Systems teams for the New Glenn orbital program has been the focus since January 2020. With a solid background in avionics software engineering, Matthew has managed various teams responsible for mission-critical software, including the Integrated Ground System. Previous experience includes software architecture roles at Dynon Avionics, where APIs for innovative products were designed and legacy code was refactored. Outside of aerospace, Matthew freelances as an audio engineer and serves as Audio Arts Director at Real Life Church, leveraging extensive expertise in digital mixing platforms. Matthew holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Principia College and has earned multiple FAA aviation ratings.
