Matthew Spinelli

Matthew Spinelli is currently serving as an Aerospace Software Apps Engineer II at Blue Origin since June 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Connecticut from January 2022 to June 2023, assisting students in systems programming courses. Matthew also gained experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at General Dynamics Electric Boat, where embedded software and tactical hardware for Virginia class submarines were developed. Leadership capabilities were demonstrated as President of Engineers Without Borders USA at the University of Connecticut, overseeing multiple projects, including a water supply initiative in Kenya. Additionally, Matthew worked as an Environmental Protection Seasonal Resource Assistant for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and as a Guest Service and Engagement Advocate at Target. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Connecticut, awarded in 2023.
