Michelle Rowells

Michelle Rowells is a technical leader in software engineering and guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) within the aerospace industry, currently serving as the Lunar MK1 SW IPT Lead at Blue Origin. Previously, they held multiple leadership roles at Sierra Space, including Director of Engineering and Director of Programs, managing teams of over 200 engineers and overseeing critical flight software and simulations. Their experience includes software development, cost and schedule management for significant contracts, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Michelle earned a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University and has also taught aerospace engineering courses at the same institution.
