Sr Aerospace Systems Engineer

Mitchell Ryan is a seasoned aerospace professional with over a decade of experience in the field. Currently serving as a Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer at Blue Origin since March 2012, Mitchell leads the company-level Pressure Systems Working Group and participates in various teams focused on process improvement. Previous roles at Blue Origin include Propulsion Engineer III, where responsibilities included leading catalyst technology development for New Glenn, BE-4, and New Shepard, as well as serving as Test Engineer and Project Manager overseeing test stands for critical programs. Prior to Blue Origin, Mitchell was the Building Maintenance Lead at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church, overseeing the maintenance of building systems and optimizing heating efficiency. Additional experience includes a Research Fellow position at the University of Minnesota, where research on turbulent boundary layers contributed to publications and collaborations with NASA. Mitchell holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota.
