Mohamed Abdullah

Mohamed Abdullah serves as an Engineering Manager at Blue Origin since May 2019, focusing on upgrades and evolutions for Upper Stage Fluid Systems, with responsibilities that include project management and technical leadership of a cryogenic titanium pressure vessel design and the lunar lander fluid interface. Previously, from February 2017 to March 2019, Mohamed worked as a Propulsion Test Engineer at SpaceX, participating in Merlin Vacuum Engine hotfire operations and automating test sequences. As a Propulsion Engineer at Firefly Space Systems from April 2014 to December 2016, Mohamed led a team in the design and development of first-stage engine components and conducted trade studies on engine architecture. Prior work experience includes serving as an Aerothermal Engineer at QuEST Global, where Mohamed developed thermal management systems for gas turbines. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Astronautics, both from Arizona State University.
