Phil Salisbury

Phil Salisbury is a highly experienced propulsion engineer currently serving as a Senior Propulsion Engineer at Blue Origin since January 2019, with a progressive career that includes roles as Propulsion Engineer III, II, and I. Prior to this, Phil worked at Ragnarok Industries as a Mechanical Engineer, where innovative designs for satellite mechanisms and subsystems were developed. Phil's professional background also includes mechanical engineering positions at Freefly Systems, where leadership in creating a 5-axis drone-mountable gimbal system was demonstrated, and at Aerobo, focused on unmanned aerial systems. Earlier experience includes work at Vermont Optical Technologies on optics and micro-structured surfaces, and internships at Joule Unlimited, Inc. and Ablap Inc. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, emphasizing engineering mechanics, design, and composite materials.
