René Diaz

René Diaz, Ph.D., CRE, is currently the New Glenn Reliability Engineering Lead at Blue Origin, where they also serve as a Senior System Reliability Engineer. They previously held positions at Apple and Amazon, contributing to hardware reliability and LRU reliability engineering, respectively. René began their research career as an undergraduate, leading projects in thermal barrier coatings and nanocomposite coatings, and later progressed to advanced research in metallic glass matrix composites during their doctoral studies at Georgia Institute of Technology. They have a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida and both a Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
