Richard Joyce

Richard Joyce is a Senior Technical Project Manager at Blue Origin, where they lead the Crew Systems engineering team on the New Shepard Crew Capsule. They earned a B.S. in Applied Physics from Columbia Engineering before pursuing advanced degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Davis, where they obtained both an M.S. and a PhD. Prior to their current role, Richard served as a Senior Human Factors Engineer and Human Factors Engineer at Blue Origin, and held research positions at NASA Ames Research Center and Columbia University. Their extensive experience in engineering and research reflects a strong foundation in technical project management within aerospace.
