Ross Rickards

Responsible Engineer for the Lunar Orbit, DDL, and Surface Phases for the MK1 Lander

Ross Rickards is an accomplished engineer and space enthusiast currently serving as the Responsible Engineer for the Lunar Orbit, DDL, and Surface Phases for the MK1 Lander at Blue Origin. From 2022 to 2025, Ross held the position of Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they led various projects including the Lunar Mobility Vehicle System Design. Ross began their career with NASA, progressing from an Associate Systems Engineer to roles focused on Flight Software and Systems Engineering. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and are currently pursuing a Master of Science in Space Resources at Colorado School of Mines.
