Sean Lay

Sean Lay is a Senior Structural Engineer at BLUE ORIGIN, where they have held various roles since 2021. Previously, Sean worked as a Research Assistant at the National Spherical Torus Experiment Laboratory from 2013 to 2017, where they designed and optimized rail gun configurations for fusion reactors. They also gained experience as a Development Engineer Intern at Systima Technologies, Inc. in 2016, and contributed to the University of Washington Formula Motorsports Team from 2012 to 2014. Sean earned a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2017, following a Bachelor of Science in the same field in 2015.
