Steve Chappell

Steve Chappell is a seasoned leader and engineer with over 32 years of experience in project and systems engineering, research, development, and testing. Currently serving as the Lead Systems Engineer at Blue Origin, Steve has previously held significant positions, including Mission Systems Engineer at the Laboratory for Atmospheric & Space Physics, where they co-led the systems engineering for NASA's AIM satellite. Their extensive background includes roles at Lockheed Martin, KBR, and The Aerospace Corporation, contributing to projects such as NASA's Artemis lunar exploration. Steve holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as an MS and PhD in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder.
