Tim Proby

Tim Proby is an experienced engineer with a strong background in mechanical and aerospace engineering. At Blue Origin, Proby served in various roles, including Responsible Engineer for the New Shepard and Senior Manager for Mechanical, Materials & Structural Engineering for the New Glenn Stage 1, overseeing design, analysis, and team management. Proby has expertise in composite materials, structural design, and non-destructive testing, having successfully led recruitment and hiring processes while managing complex engineering projects. Prior experience includes a Structural Engineer role at Kvichak Marine Industries, where Proby applied advanced engineering principles and led structural teams, along with internship positions involving design and fabrication. Proby holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Aerospace with a focus on controls from the University of Washington.
