Ben Johnson

Ben Johnson has extensive work experience in the technical operations and engineering field. Ben held the position of Director of Technical Operations at Blue Pixel from December 2018. In this role, they provided technical and project leadership for an experiential production company, overseeing software development and hardware engineering for engaging consumer experiences at events. Prior to this, they worked as a Technical Consultant and Full Stack Engineer at the same company since 2009.

Before joining Blue Pixel, Ben owned their own company called BenThere Media, LLC, where they served as the Owner starting from April 2003 and ending in September 2012. Ben'sconsultancy focused on broadcast engineering for small to medium corporate, government, and education clients, including video facility design, construction, and maintenance, as well as staffing and payroll services for video productions.

Ben's career began at Fox News Channel in January 1997 as a Field Engineer and Satellite Uplink Engineer. Ben was responsible for field engineering and satellite uplinking, supporting network pool operations for major events such as State of the Union speeches, Presidential Inaugurations, Congressional hearings, and state funerals. Ben worked at Fox News Channel until April 2003.

Ben Johnson attended the University of Minnesota from 1992 to 1994 but did not earn a degree or have a specific field of study. Ben then went on to attend American University from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a BA degree in Communication: Visual Media.
