Jeff Pell

Jeff Pell has over 20 years of experience in various database roles. Jeff is currently the VP Data Services at Blue Sentry since June 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Database Specialist at McKenzie Software & Consulting, Inc. from October 1999. Jeff also has experience as a Database Administrator (Consultant) at OATC, Inc., APEX Analytix, Computing Solutions Group, Inc., New River Innovation, Inc., Upside Travel, ECOFLO, Inc., Listingbook, and Targacept, Inc. throughout their career.

Jeff Pell earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from William & Mary, completing their studies from 1985 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, Jeff obtained several certifications in various fields. Jeff obtained certifications such as "Choose the Right Tool for Your Data: Python, R, or SQL," "Machine Learning and AI Foundations: Prediction, Causation, and Statistical Inference," and "SQL Server Machine Learning Services: R" from LinkedIn in 2023. Jeff also received the "Liquibase Certified Associate Exam," "Common Liquibase Design Patterns," and "Managing Liquibase Changelogs" certifications from Liquibase in 2021. In 2020, they obtained certifications including "AWS Certified Database – Specialty" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and "GitLab 101 Certificate" from GitLab. Jeff acquired various other certifications related to Liquibase between 2020 and 2021, such as "Introduction to Liquibase Test Harness Training Course," "Liquibase and the CI/CD Process," and "Liquibase Commands for Troubleshooting." Finally, in 2021, they obtained the "Redis Labs | RU101: Introduction to Redis Data Structures" certification from Redis Labs.
