Joy Nelson is a seasoned design professional with a comprehensive background in various design roles spanning over a decade. Currently serving as Principal Designer at Blue State since April 2018, Joy has advanced through positions such as Senior Designer and Designer within the same company. Prior experience includes a tenure as Product Designer at Intrepid Pursuits and Senior Designer at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Joy began the career at Barry Huston Screen Printing as a Design/Shop Assistant and gained initial industry exposure through internships at The Morning Call and A to Z Communications. Educational credentials include a BFA in Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by foundational art studies at Barnstone Studios.
