Jay Sadie

Jay Sadie has worked in the technology industry since 1995. Jay began their career at Interim Technology as a Data Warehouse Engineer/Manager, where they managed, developed and implemented a Data Warehouse environment. In 1996, they moved to PowerShift, Inc. as President & Chief Developer, specializing in the delivery of data warehouse, data mart and information delivery solutions. In 2002, Sadie became President/Owner of iTek Consulting, Inc., providing professional consulting services to mid/large-sized companies. In 2010, they joined The IQ Business Group (Pty) Ltd, SA as Relationship Leader/BI Project Manager, optimizing energy consumption, minimizing billing variance and minimizing disruption to operations. In 2013, Sadie moved to TITANtransact International as Team Leader/Project Manager, building an Enterprise Transaction Management business. In 2014, they became BI Practice Manager/Solutions Architect at Genware Computer Systems, utilizing TIBCO Spotfire, TIBCO StreamBase, Cisco Information Server (CIS), IBM Cognos, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure technologies. Most recently, in 2017, Sadie joined Blue Triangle Technologies as VP of Engineering and VP of Data and Analytics, managing and directing engineering of underlying Big Data, Software and Cloud infrastructure technologies.

Jay Sadie has a National Senior Certificate - Matriculation from Transvalia High School, and is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at Stellenbosch University. In May 2021, they obtained two certifications from Coursera: Creating New BigQuery Datasets and Visualizing Insights, and Exploring & Preparing your Data with BigQuery.
