David Sharp

David Sharp, Ed.D, currently serves as an Administrator and High School Principal at Blue Valley Northwest High School within the Blue Valley School District since July 2021. Prior to this role, David Sharp accumulated extensive leadership experience in the Lee's Summit R-7 School District, where David Sharp held positions including Assistant Principal, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent, overseeing three large secondary schools during significant transformation periods. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Principal in the Fort Osage School District and as Teacher, Coach, and Assistant Principal in the Independence School District. David Sharp's military service as an Infantry Soldier in the US Army included recognition with the Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal. David Sharp holds an Ed.D in Education Leadership from Baker University, along with multiple degrees focused on Urban Education and Leadership from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a BA in Education/Criminal Justice from the University of Central Missouri.
