Charles Hodge

President & CEO at BlueBin

As Founder and President of BlueBin, Charles was the primary architect of the Kanban distribution system. Prior to forming BlueBin, He served as Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President of Supply Chain Management for Seattle Children’s Hospital and Research Institute (a national leader in pediatric care).

Before joining Seattle Children’s, Charles was the Regional Director in charge of supply chain management operations for Sutter Health’s Peninsula Coastal Region, as well as a member of Sutter Health’s corporate strategic sourcing group. Charles’ earlier career involved concurrent directorship roles in commodity and supply chain management operations for several world-class original equipment manufacturers, including Applied Materials (semiconductor capital equipment) and Asyst Technologies.

Prior to his appointments in capital equipment manufacturing, Charles held senior procurement positions in both the electronic chemicals and automotive manufacturing sectors, including New United Motors Manufacturing Incorporated (NUMMI), a Toyota and General Motors joint venture in Fremont, California. Charles earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from California State University.
