Brian Art

Brian Art has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Brian started their career at MCI WorldCom in 1996, where they worked as an Operations Tech 2, responsible for locating and maintaining fiber optic cables and regenerator sites. From 1998 to 2000, they worked at Formally Qwest as an Outside Plant Manager, overseeing the relocation and maintenance of fiber optic plant. Brian then joined 360networks in 2000 as an Outside Plant Manager/Operations Supervisor, where they managed day-to-day operations and projects in the Chicago and Northern Illinois Area. In 2008, they became a Telecommunications Operations Manager at Windstream, and from 2014 to 2017, they worked at Zayo Group as an Outside Plant Project Manager. Currently, they are an OSP Engineer at Bluebird Network LLC, responsible for designing and managing OSP fiber build-outs for various cellular providers and small cell deployments.

Brian Art attended Illinois State University from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Management and Criminal Justice. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Advanced Managerial Training (Lead to WIN) from Windstream, Ciena ONS from Ciena, Cisco ONS and Layer 2 from Cisco, Infinera ONS from Infinera, MRV ONS and Layer 2 from MRV Communications, Nortel OC48, OC 192, DWDM from Nortel Networks, and Transmode ONS and Layer 2 from Transmode.
