James Spence is an accomplished technical manager with extensive experience in developing advanced cloud-based DNS software. Currently at BlueCat since September 2018, James leads a team in creating a Rust-based DNS server and has successfully implemented significant infrastructure improvements using Terraform. Prior to this role, James served as a senior software engineer and software engineer, consistently delivering high-performance solutions and cost-saving strategies. Earlier experience at NexJ Systems included roles as a senior developer team lead, where James contributed to building CRM software for major financial institutions, and as an application developer co-op. James holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto.
