The BlueDragon Integrated Problem-Solving System (IPS) is the world’s most advanced system for solving costly human errors and complex problems in modern work environments. Developed in just the past decade, this modern and innovative system integrates critical thinking principles, systems theory, high reliability concepts and design thinking, among other scientific advancements. The system’s holistic framework enables users to conduct a comprehensive analysis of modern sociotechnical problems in all industries. BlueDragon IPS is a dramatic paradigm shift from traditional root cause analysis methodologies. Here are some reasons why.

BlueDragon is based on critical thinking, which is at core of complex problem-solving. The skill of thinking critically involves the intellectually disciplined process of gathering, organizing, and analyzing data, evidence and information, so we can draw insights, ask great questions, make critical decisions, and solve problems. The tools and techniques for how to gather, organize and analyze information are many, and the best investigators are skilled in many of those tools.

Next, we incorporated systems thinking (from Systems Theory), which is of high importance in conducting rigorous investigations. The skill involves conducting a systems inventory of affected programs, processes and procedures, so that we can establish a holistic approach that attacks workplace accidents from multiple perspectives.

Identifying the deepest-seated causes of workplace accidents is one of the more important (and difficult) skills that investigators need to master. In every industry there are thousands of recurring workplace accidents and other problems and events each year. These recurring problems and events are costing United States industries trillions of dollars/year and one primary reason for these costly recurring problems is a lack of the skills needed to identify and eliminate their deepest-seated causes.
