Aisha Chappell is the Vice President of Program Implementation at Blue Engine, where they lead the implementation of educational programs across partner schools in New York City. Previously, Aisha held various roles at Blue Engine, including Site Director at Fordham High School for The Arts and Director of Mathematics Instruction, where they developed instructional models and supported teaching staff. Their teaching career includes serving as the Mathematics Department Chair and an 8th-grade mathematics teacher at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School. Aisha also volunteered as an English teacher and worked as a project manager for a start-up non-profit. Aisha earned a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Secondary Mathematics Education from The City College of New York.
