Brian Davis

Director, Defense And Security at BluePath Labs

Brian Davis has a diverse work experience in the field of international relations and security affairs, with a particular focus on China and the Indo-Pacific region. Brian has held various senior roles in prestigious organizations and government agencies.

In 2006, Davis started their career as a Deputy Director and Army Affairs Officer at the Liaison Affairs Section of the American Institute in Taiwan. Brian later served as an Army Attache at the U.S. Embassy Bangkok from 2009 to 2012 and then at the U.S. Embassy Beijing from 2012 to 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Davis worked as the Chief of Strategic Assessments at the Headquarters, Department of the Army. In 2018, they became the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attache at the U.S. Embassy Beijing, a role they held until 2020.

From 2020 to 2021, Davis served as the Chief of Staff at U.S. Army Central before joining the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command as the Director of the China Strategic Focus Group in 2021.

In 2022, Davis has taken on multiple senior advisory roles. Brian is currently the Director of China Research at BluePath Labs (8(a) & SDVOSB), a Senior Advisor in the China Power Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and a Senior Fellow in the China & Indo-Pacific Security Affairs Division at the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA).

Throughout their career, Davis has demonstrated expertise in China and Indo-Pacific security affairs, contributing to numerous organizations and playing key roles in shaping strategic assessments and relationships in the region.

Brian Davis has a Master's degree in International Relations and Affairs from Columbia University. Brian also holds a Master's degree in National Security Studies from The United States Army War College. In addition, Davis has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Auburn University. Furthermore, they have completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Baker University. Davis has also studied Chinese at Capital Normal University and the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. Brian has attended the Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University, as well as the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
