Robert Keefe has over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry. Robert began their career in 2000 as a Senior Scientist in Immunology at Antexbiologics. Robert then moved to SAIC (Leidos) in 2003 as a Biomedical Scientist. In 2006, they joined Lentigen as the Director of Biotherapeutics Cell and Gene Therapy. In 2011, they became the Senior Manager of Cell Processing at Lonza. In 2016, they moved to WuXi AppTec as the Director of Process Development and Commercialization. In 2017, they became the Senior Director of Technical Operations at MaxCyte, Inc., where they oversaw the process development, manufacturing, and tech transfer of mRNA CAR-T cell therapy. In 2019, they joined Autolus Ltd. as the Senior Director of Vector Production, where they were responsible for oversight and management of viral vector operations at the Autolus manufacturing center. In 2020, they became the Head of CMC Cell Therapy Development at AstraZeneca. Currently, they are the Chief Development Officer at BlueSphere Bio.

Robert Keefe received their PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of California, Davis in 1997. Robert received their BS in Biology from Albright College in 1988.
