John Barr

John Barr is a retired professional who previously held various significant roles in academia and the corporate sector. They served as Associate Professor and Chair of the Computer Science Department at the University of Montana, where they contributed to the development of a Software Engineering Master's Program. With a background as a Bluetooth Consultant for Motorola Mobile Devices, they represent the company on the Bluetooth SIG Board of Directors. Barr was also Past President of the OSGi Alliance and has extensive experience in wireless standards development and industry alliance management. Currently, they enjoy life in Montana, focusing on family and hobbies.
