Jonathan Tanner

Jonathan Tanner is an experienced professional in the technology sector, currently serving as Director of Technical Standards at Qualcomm Cambridge since October 2015 and concurrently holding multiple roles at Bluetooth SIG since May 2016, including Councillor of the Bluetooth Architecture Review Board and Chair of the Generic Audio Working Group. Jonathan has an extensive background in standardization and technical engineering, demonstrated through previous positions such as Vice-Chair and Chair within various Bluetooth SIG working groups, and as Standards Architect at CSR. Earlier career experiences include roles as Principal Software Engineer at Nokia and Senior Software Engineer at companies such as Motorola and Symbian. Jonathan holds a BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Plymouth, earned in 1995.
