Hitender Kumar

Hitender Kumar has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Hitender most recently served as the Country Head - India for BLUETOWN starting in November 2018. Prior to that, they worked for Aircel as the Circle Business Head for Aircel Bihar & Jharkhand from July 2014 to October 2018. During their time at Aircel, Mr. Kumar successfully improved the business performance of the Bihar & Jharkhand circle, making it the third largest within Aircel Operations and achieving positive EBITDA for the first time. Hitender also demonstrated strong leadership skills and strategic planning abilities in their role.

Before joining Aircel, Hitender Kumar held various positions at MTS - Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd. Hitender served as the Chief Operating Officer (Acting) for the UP West Circle in Noida from February 2014 to June 2014, and as the Director of Operations for the Rajasthan Circle in Jaipur from January 2012 to February 2014. In these roles, they successfully managed the second largest circle operations of the organization, exceeded business targets, and handled substantial revenue streams.

Prior to their time at MTS, Mr. Kumar worked for Vodafone as the General Manager of Sales for the UP EAST region from March 2008 to January 2012. During their tenure, they achieved significant milestones such as leading the first team across operators and the country to reach 10 million customers. Hitender also played a key role in expanding distribution points and increasing market share.

Hitender Kumar began their career at Reliance Communications, where they served as the Head of the Pay Telephony business for the UP EAST region from July 2007 to March 2008.

Hitender Kumar has a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Delhi University, which they earned from 1988 to 1991. Hitender also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from FORE School of Management, New Delhi. In addition, they have pursued a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree in International Business from Nottingham Trent University.
