Daniel Catrein

Daniel Catrein currently serves as COO at blueworld GmbH since November 2023. Previously, Catrein held the position of Vice President of Product Management at Rakuten Symphony from August 2022 to March 2023, leading a team in product management for the Symworld Platform. Catrein spent nearly a decade at Ericsson in various roles, including Head of Technology for Business Area Technologies & New Business, and Head of Product for Ericsson Industry Connect, focusing on cloud-based solutions and private LTE/5G connectivity. Additionally, Catrein contributed to developing the distributed cloud strategy and has a strong background in research, having worked at RWTH Aachen University and ETH Zurich. Catrein holds a Ph.D. in Communications Engineering and a Diplom in Physics from RWTH Aachen University.
