Bent introduced wooden silos as a novel way to store and dry crops, quickly gaining popularity among Danish farmers. Bent Martinsen introduced the unique Kit-form packaging concept early on, allowing up to 40 silos to fit in a single 40-foot container. This approach not only reduces shipping costs but also minimizes CO2 emissions per silo by about 90% compared to preassembled units.
