David Baldon has over 38 years of experience in the field of DB2 and mainframe technology. Currently serving as a Solution Architect for BMC Software since 1994, David coordinates the implementation of new features and manages changes in DB2 for z/OS related to the Recovery Management for DB2 solution. Previous roles at BMC include Lead Developer for the DB2 Product Configuration Infrastructure and for improving setup and deployment processes of mainframe DB2 products, as well as designing high-speed utilities for DB2 database management on the z/OS platform. Prior to BMC, David worked at Electronic Data Systems from 1985 to 1994 as a DB2 Systems Programmer, overseeing the installation and maintenance of over 100 DB2 systems across various data centers. David holds an Associate degree in Computer Science from Parks College, earned between 1981 and 1983.
