Vice President, Business And Legal Affairs at BMG

Jason Munro has a diverse and extensive work experience in the music industry. Jason has held various roles, starting with their position as a Trainee Solicitor at SJ Berwin, where they worked on the separation of the Parlophone Label Group from EMI's recorded music business. Following this, they served as a Legal Associate at Russells Solicitors.

Munro then joined Island Records, Universal Music Group as a Legal & Business Affairs Executive, where they worked across the label's roster, handling day-to-day legal matters. Jason also had a position at BMG - The New Music Company, where they initially served as a Legal and Business Affairs Senior Manager, specializing in music publishing and recorded music. Later, they became a Senior Director, responsible for structured, negotiating, and drafting various music agreements and asset purchase agreements. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs at BMG, where they continue to make contributions in recorded music and M&A work.

Jason Munro attended The Royal Belfast Academical Institution from 1993 to 2000. Jason then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law & Accountancy from The University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2004. In 2010, they enrolled in BPP Law School and completed the Legal Practice Course in Law in 2011.
