Mark Barone, PhD, is a distinguished leader in public health with a focus on non-communicable diseases, diabetes education, and patient engagement. Since founding the Fórum Intersetorial para Combate às DCNTs no Brasil in 2017, Mark has held numerous influential roles, including positions with Life for a Child, The Lancet Global Health Commission, and the World Health Organization. As a former Vice-President of the International Diabetes Federation and Director at ADJ Diabetes Brasil, contributions involved strategic planning, program development, and partnerships aimed at improving health outcomes for people living with diabetes.
