Simon Neilson

Simon Neilson is an experienced Open Access Sales Manager with a strong background in the field, currently serving at BMJ since January 2014, where responsibilities include the management and advocacy of open access and transitional agreements for academic institutions and library consortia in the UK. Prior to this role, Simon was an Open Access Sales Manager at BioMed Central from September 2006 to December 2014, focusing on sales of open access agreements across Northern and Central Europe and the Middle East. Earlier experience includes working as an HR Assistant at ITV in 2006 and as Head Runner at Grand Central Recording Studios from 2002 to 2004. Simon holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from Goldsmiths, University of London, obtained between 1999 and 2002.
