Steve Edwards has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Steve started their career at AstraZeneca as an Outcomes Research Manager in 1999 and worked there until 2010. In 2010, they joined the BMJ as the Head of Health Technology Assessment and later became the Director of Health Technology Assessment in 2018. Alongside their role at BMJ, they also served as a Technology Appraisal Committee Member at NICE since 2018. In 2013, they became a Diagnostics Advisory Committee Member at NICE and held the position until 2018. Furthermore, they were appointed as the Chair at InterTASC from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their industry experience, they also worked as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine since 2011.
Steve Edwards completed their education with a BSc (Hons) in Genetics from the University of London in the years 1986 to 1989. Steve then pursued an MSc and a DPhil in Evidence-Based Health Care from the University of Oxford, completing them in the years 2001 to 2004 and 2006 to 2010, respectively.
