Gregory Auer

Gregory Auer, MBA, CFE, is a Senior Manager of Financial Crimes Investigations at BMO, where they focus on complex external fraud cases for a multinational bank. With over 32 years of experience in risk assessment and financial fraud investigations, they have held prominent roles in both federal law enforcement and the financial services sector. Previously, Auer served as Vice President and Senior Investigations Manager at Bank of the West, leading a team of investigators and managing critical risk assessment programs. They started their career with the U.S. Secret Service, where they coordinated responses to cyber crimes and implemented security protocols for high-profile protectees. Auer holds a B.A. in History from California State University, Northridge, and an MBA from Regis University.
