Marla Bobowick

Marla Bobowick is an experienced independent consultant with a focus on nonprofit governance and organizational excellence. Since June 2008, Marla has operated Bobowick Consulting, LLC and has also served as a Senior Governance Consultant with Nonprofit Board Governance Consultants since September 2020. Marla holds the title of Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant at Maryland Nonprofits and has been a member of the Research Advisory Council for BoardSource since June 2008. Previously, Marla was the Director of AGB Press for the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges from March 2010 to February 2017 and held the position of Vice President at BoardSource from 1998 to 2008. Early career experience includes working as an Acquisitions Editor at John Wiley & Sons from 1988 to 1996. Marla holds an MBA and a CNM from the Weatherhead School of Management and the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western Reserve University, as well as a BA in English from Amherst College.
