Kaitlin Quistgaard has over 25 years of experience in the media and digital governance industries. Kaitlin began their career in 1995 as a Reporter for Time Magazine, where they covered Argentine national politics, economics, and cultural events. In 1997, they moved to WIRED News as a Business Editor, where they developed the business beat and managed reporters. In 1999, they joined Salon Media Group as a Senior Editor, Technology & Business, where they led a team of six writers/editors breaking the latest tech and business news. In 2003, they joined Yoga Journal as Deputy Editor/Managing Editor, where they were instrumental in creating a contemporary voice for the magazine. In 2006, they became Editor-in-Chief at Active Interest Media. In 2015, they joined Mindful.org as an Advisor and Editor-at-Large, where they advised this non-profit media startup promoting the research-backed benefits of meditation and mindfulness. Later that year, they joined Boardspan Inc. as Senior Vice President and Vice President, where they were a strategic contributor to the senior leadership team and led a number of governance initiatives for clients.
Kaitlin Quistgaard attended Barnard College, where they earned a BA in Literature with a concentration in creative writing. Prior to that, they attended San Francisco University High School.
