Kath Easthope

Kath Easthope has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Kath currently holds the role of Chief Operating Officer at Boardwave, which they started in January 2023. Prior to this, Kath was the VP of Global Marketing at Phrasee® from April 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining Phrasee®, Kath worked as a Fractional CMO, providing marketing and communications consultancy services to progressive technology brands. During this time, they developed strategies, created integrated campaigns, and mentored marketing teams. Kath'swork with the founders of Phrasee® eventually led to their joining the company in a full-time brand-side marketing role.

Earlier in their career, Kath served as the Managing Director of the UK branch of Bite, a content and communications agency, from September 2008 to April 2017. During their eight-year tenure, they oversaw the stabilization and transformation of the agency, as well as its international expansion and growth in both clients and teams. Kath successfully integrated another communications agency within the company, led a merger with a digital marketing agency, and created specialist teams in content, creative, digital, and insights. Additionally, they formed a joint venture with a video specialist and restructured the European model.

Kath's journey in the industry began in 1996 at LEWIS PR, where they started as a graduate trainee and eventually became the General Manager of the UK division. Over 12 years, they played a crucial role in the agency's growth and expansion, receiving recognition through awards such as PRWeek and PRCA Young Communicator of the Year.

Overall, Kath Easthope has a wealth of experience in various leadership roles within the marketing and communications field, demonstrating their expertise in strategy development, team management, and business transformation.

Kath Easthope attended the University of Plymouth from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and French. Kath also received the certification of "100 Most Influential Tech PR Executives 2015" from Hot Topics.
