John Callaghan

John Callaghan is an accomplished aviation professional with extensive experience in technical management and aircraft maintenance. Currently serving as VP Technical at BOC Aviation since September 2011, John oversees the company’s assets in Europe, CIS, and Americas, ensuring effective fleet maintenance and serving as a liaison for technical issues between lessors and lessees. Prior to this role, John held positions such as Station Engineer at Aer Lingus, where management of airworthiness tasks was a priority, and Project Co-ordinator at SR Technics, where innovative processes were implemented to enhance aircraft overhaul efficiency. John began a career at SR Technics, progressing from mechanic to crew manager while accumulating a wealth of maintenance experience across various aircraft types. Educational qualifications include a degree in Business Studies in Aviation from Carlow Institute of Technology and a B1 Aircraft License from DIT Bolton Street.
