Mike Cariola has had extensive experience in the field of forensic technology, specifically in the area of DNA analysis. Mike started their career as a DNA Analyst at the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory, where they supervised quality control and conducted analysis on skeletal remains to aid in identifying missing persons.
Later, Cariola joined The Bode Technology Group as the Vice President of Forensic Operations, a position they held for eight years. In this role, they oversaw the company's forensic laboratory operations.
Cariola then became involved with The American Investigative Society of Cold Cases (AISOCC) as a Consulting Committee Member. This non-profit organization is dedicated to solving cold cases using forensic techniques such as crime scene reconstruction and criminal profiling.
In 2008, Cariola joined Bode Cellmark Forensics as the Senior Vice President, Director of Operations, and Laboratory Director. Mike played a key role in the development and expansion of the company, leading to significant revenue growth. As Chief Operating Officer, they were responsible for the operational leadership of Bode's forensic operations, products, software, and consulting services.
More recently, in 2019, Cariola became the President and CEO of Bode Technology, taking on overall responsibility for managing the company and providing strategic oversight.
Throughout their career, Cariola has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing forensic DNA analysis and has made significant contributions to the field.
Mike Cariola attended Cornell University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Following this, they enrolled at The George Washington University from 1997 to 2000 and earned a Master of Forensic Science degree with a specialization in forensic molecular biology.
