Bobby King is an accomplished communications professional and journalist with extensive experience in both development and reporting. Since April 2018, Bobby has served as the Director of Development & Alumni Communications at Indiana University School of Medicine, focusing on generating support for research, medical training, and service initiatives. Concurrently, Bobby has been a journalist with The Indianapolis Star since September 2004, specializing in explanatory journalism on complex issues such as disasters and social challenges. Prior experience includes reporting on educational reforms at the Tampa Bay Times from April 1998 to July 2004, and covering diverse topics, including local government and the charter school movement, at The Greenville News from March 1995 to March 1998. Bobby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Kentucky, earned between 1988 and 1992.
