Ryan Martin

Ryan Martin is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in various editorial roles. Currently serving as Executive Editor at The Indianapolis Star since October 2025, Ryan previously held positions as Interim Managing Editor and Deputy Managing Editor at Mirror Indy from October 2023 to October 2025. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Investigative Reporter at State Affairs from December 2022 to October 2023, and a tenure at The Indianapolis Star from July 2015 to December 2022, where roles ranged from Investigative Reporter to Breaking News and Public Safety Editor. Additional experience includes management positions at The Elkhart Truth and various editorial roles at Patch.com and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Journalism in Convergence Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, and an Associate of Arts in Journalism from John A. Logan College.
