Matt Shipp is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Sergeant in the Henry-Stark County Special Operations Squad - SWAT at the Stark County Sheriff’s Office since February 2022. Shipp has a robust background that includes a similar role with the Black Hawk College from February 2007 to February 2022 and previous experience as a Deputy Sheriff and Sergeant with the Stark County Sheriff's Office. Additionally, Shipp has served as a Correctional Officer with the Peoria County Sheriff's Office and held various positions within the United States Marine Corps, including Infantry Platoon Sergeant. Since 2018, Shipp has also been active as a member of the Board of Directors at Carry On and as a Fitness Coach with Beachbody, alongside previous work as an Independent Promoter for ViSalus. Education includes a Basic Law Enforcement degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Basic Law Enforcement Training from Cape Fear Community College.
