body>data>space (BDS Creative Ltd) is a creative unit designing interactive connections between performance, architecture, virtual worlds and new media.

FKA shinkansen, the body>data>space collective have been producing and developing R&D projects, exhibitions, conferences, training and websites exploring the living body and digital technologies in the UK, Europe and internationally since 1989.

Working across diverse sectors, we have created hundreds of real time connections blending performance, new media and virtual physical worlds. We enable embodied knowledge to be shared through body responsive technologies, telepresence, virtual physical networks, interactive interfaces and immersive experiences.

Well recognised for:
- Early remote stage / telepresence performances from 1991, created through AV transmission between theatres, clubs and festivals worldwide
- Pioneer avatar / human interface cooperations within hybrid (virtual physical) experiences
- High level interdisciplinary and innovative debate formats 
- Collective participation in immersion environments 

Key research topics include digital identity, digital human twins, digital intimacy, collective embodiment, virtual / physical blending and biometrics (body data harvesting) through digital immersion.
