Ryan Kirby

Ryan Kirby has extensive work experience in software engineering and web development. Ryan is currently working as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Bodyswaps®: the VR Platform for Soft Skills Training since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Elastic Path from November 2019 to April 2023. Ryan also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Leighton from January 2018 to November 2019. Before that, they worked as a Front End Developer at Layers Studio from November 2016 to December 2017. Ryan's professional journey began with a role as a Research Associate (Software Developer) at Newcastle University from September 2014 to October 2016. In addition, they have freelanced as a Web Developer, building responsive websites and full-stack web applications, starting from August 2014.

Ryan Kirby completed their High School education at Parklands High School, focusing on GCSE studies. Ryan then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Preston College from 2006 to 2008. Ryan furthered their education at Newcastle University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from 2009 to 2013. Ryan continued their studies at Newcastle University, earning a Master's Degree in Computer Science, specializing in MSc Computer Science, from 2013 to 2014. In 2021, Ryan obtained a certification in Composable Commerce Architecture from Elastic Path.
