James Thompson has a diverse work experience in the field of geospatial analysis. James started their career at Northrop Grumman Corporation in 2007 as a Geospatial Analyst, where they focused on digital feature data extraction and the creation of 3D models for road networks and buildings. In 2007, they joined DigitalGlobe as a Senior Geospatial Analyst, where they gained experience in extracting geospatial intelligence from various imagery sources and using software such as ERDAS imagine, NGA raster and vector data, ArcGIS, and SocketSet. At CACI International Inc, James worked as a Task Supervisor, responsible for coordinating and supervising technical tasks. Currently, they are employed at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics as a Geospatial Analyst, where their responsibilities include editing and quality checking terrain products and collecting feature data using ArcGIS.
James Thompson obtained an Associate's degree in General Studies from St. Charles Community College from 2002 to 2005. Following that, from 2005 to 2007, they attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography. In August 2007, James obtained a certification in Geographic Information Sciences from the University of Missouri.
