Jesse Thilo has extensive work experience in the field of system administration and engineering. Jesse started their career at Lehigh University in 1996 as a Teaching Assistant and later became an Adjunct Lecturer at both Lehigh University and Moravian College, teaching courses related to assembly language programming and computer architecture.
In 1997, Jesse joined Agere Systems as a Senior Engineer, where they administered various Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX systems for different projects. Jesse also worked closely with engineers from Bell Labs' Computer Science Research Center. At Agere Systems, Jesse maintained a cross-compilation environment for a network-attached multimedia server.
From 2007 to 2008, Jesse worked at Sandbridge Technologies as a Senior Engineer. In this role, they maintained the Linux operating system for an ARM-based system-on-chip platform. Jesse also wrote and maintained Linux applications and performed general programming. Additionally, Jesse administered Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Solaris systems.
Since 2009, Jesse has been working at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (formerly Ventura Solutions, Inc.) as a System Administrator. Their responsibilities include the deployment and maintenance of RHEL 5, RHEL 6, and RHEL 7 on HP servers and virtual machines. Jesse also handles LDAP+SMB user account management and server backups using rsync and dss.
Throughout their career, Jesse has received positive feedback for their teaching abilities, with high student evaluations for the courses they have taught.
Jesse Thilo has a strong education background in computer engineering. They obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Lehigh University, where they attended from 1992 to 1994. Following their Bachelor's Degree, Jesse pursued a Master of Science in Computer Engineering at the same institution from 1995 to 1997. Furthermore, they have a certification as a Red Hat Certified Professional, which they obtained from Red Hat in April 2010.
