Steff Schellens has extensive experience in research and laboratory settings, with a notable background in biomedical sciences. A student job at Carrefour Belgium from July 2018 to September 2021 was followed by various research positions at KU Leuven, including a lab rotation focusing on stem-cell derived organoids and another on calcium signaling in cardiomyocytes. Steff completed internships at VIB, where the focus was on neurobiology and investigating ALS through iPSC-derived motor neurons.
